Chris Wright was raised in the suburbs north of New York City. During his early days, he experimented with various entrepreneurial ventures ranging from selling items on eBay to landscaping in the summer and shoveling neighbors driveways in the winter. He then started the a long, rambling journey to get back to entrepreneurship.
On this journey, Chris has led many lives. He's been a real estate agent, product photographer, private label product brand owner, management consultant, gig-economy startup founder, short-term rental owner/manager, and much more. Throughout it all, Chris has been driven by curiosity, a hunger for learning, and the need to continuously improve.
Most recently, Chris has been helping drive innovation in HR Compliance Tech, building products that empower the overlooked businesses fighting to gain a foothold. During his time at Trak Capital, he has focused on innovative products in a space that deserves a refresh, enabling the service of small shops to enterprise players.
After graduating from the University of South Carolina in 2016, and before starting his position as a management consultant at Deloitte, Chris Wright launched his first company. With his cofounder Daniel Smith, Chris founded Artisan Accessories, a luxury men's accessories brand sold on Amazon. At the same time, Wright founded Wright Product Photos, a Product Photography Company for Amazon FBA Sellers.
Chris started his position as a management consultant at Deloitte in 2017. During Wright's time at Deloitte, he worked alongside Fortune 500 to 100 leaders, aiding them in shaping the future of their organizations. He worked with 5 Fortune 100 companies across 5 different industries, ensuring strategic initiatives were carried out successfully.
After spending several years at Deloitte, learning from the fast-paced trial-by-fire world of consulting, Wright left to start Whystle in 2019. Whystle became the go-to on-demand cleaning service in Charlotte, NC and the surrounding area. With a strong brand and consistent double digit month over month grow, Whystle continued to excel until early, 2020 when the world was struck with the COVID-19 pandemic. Acting quickly with his team, Wright pivoted to offer Commercial Cleaning and Disinfection services to the Carolinas. During this time, the business grew by 650% thanks to the commercial business and the residential business making a come back.
In early 2021, Wright was approached with an acquisition offer for Whystle. After multiple offers we submitted and negotiations were complete, Wright successfully exited Whystle.
Post the acquisition of Whystle, Wright joined OnCentive (formerly ETaxBreaks), then Trak Capital, building innovative solutions for the HR Incentive and Compliance space as a Chief Product Officer.
